Ministry Fest North

This year's Ministry Fest North happened September 24th at the Holden Convention Center on the Gladstone Park grounds. This year, more than 25 booths and nearly 20 InfoBlitzes gave people the opportunity to swap and gather ideas on how to better share their faith.

The goal of Ministry Fest is for church members to glean creative ministry ideas that they can be involved in, or institute in their local church. The day began with attendees perusing the various ministry booths and displays. These included Ultimate Mission, Oregon Youth for Christ, Wire Choir, Prayer Ministry, Adventist Motorcycle Ministry, Full Plate Diet, CHIP, and many others.

The InfoBlitzes were 25-minute mini-seminars meant to introduce people to various ministry ideas – not long enough to give a full training, but enough to get a good introduction. Churches are welcome to schedule the presenters for a full training event. The InfoBlitzes this year included Foyer Ministry, Financial Peace University, Sunny City, Wellness Coaching, Sidewalk Kids, and several others.

The evening concluded with a haystack supper, the ABC and Snack Shack opening, and a choice of two movies… Forks Over Knives for the conscientious, or for the person looking for a little laughter – The Long, Long Trailer.
